ADVANCED MANIPULATIONS
Burning the Film

For added distress, you can burn the transparency and/or the white mask of a Polaroid after it has finished processing. You can do this quite simply with a lighter, but exercise caution. When burning a Polaroid, work quickly (lighting in very short spurts), have a fire extinguisher on hand in case of accidental ignition, wear a surgical mask to help protect you from any chemistry that may become airborne and also work in a very well-ventilated space.
